Is there such a thing as a good Earth build for 4-man team PvP?
On bigger teams the answer is obviously "Yes!", because of warding.

u can always do a warder in pvp
i havent done it in a while but the build i use to run included
earthquake, aftershock, crystal wave, ward against melee, against foes, glyph of energy [e], rez sig
thats only 7 skills u can add whatever u think u need. this build is very offensive as u can see. just remember to use the glyph before using earthquake and be wise before using crystal wave.

hmm.....
Lightning Hell, if you can give me some ingisht of what things to mix, I'll give it a try. I know enervating charge and stone work well together and Stone Mist i think and any lightning attack.
I do have Obsidian Flame for low health people =D
Then RuPee, I've tried that earthquake, aftershock, and crystal wave thing before, but I have to go up to them which I have died many times before because of that.
I should've also put that I'm a E/Mo, LOL
If you need me to switch secondary classes, I can do that because I already beat the profession changers.
Also, I jsut say some thread for ele builds, I'll take a look at those.
Meanwhile, I should tell you the build I'm put up with:
Stone daggers
Crystal Wave
Aura of restoration
Earth attunement
Ether renewal
Armor of Earth
Kinetic Armor
ressurect of any kind
so basically, i'm a tank. But I cannot fight interrupt rangers and mesmers. This is basically why I need a balanced build to overcome that.

Mantra Of Resolve
Res Sig
It can be done also with Monk as 2nd (bringing Aegis or Heal Party instead of Resolve) and with Ranger as 2nd (bringing Frozen Soil, but usually in a balanced group this task is done by the Fire Ele)
The HoH Spiker is:
Earth Magic:16
Energy Storage: 12
Inspiration / Protection / Healing / Wilderness Survival (see above): rest
Obsidian Flame
Glyph Of Energy
Earthquake
Ashblast
Inspired Enchantment (if mesmer as 2nd, bring Earth Attunement if other class)
Ward Against Melee / Enemies / Elemental / Stability (each spiker in the team brings one of those)
Mantra Of Resolve (or Aegis / Heal Party / Frozen Soil)
Res Sig
It's important to use TS / Vent / Skype to coordinate the spike, which can be done with Obsidian Flame for isolated target or with Earthquake (followed by ashblast especially on warriors) for packed targets

Being a tank is useless in PvP if you can't deal enough damage, and they can kite away with ease.
Replace Stone Daggers with Obsidian Flame.
Put in a Ward Against Foes, get out Armor of Earth and Kinetic Armor. You aren't farming Hydras.
Put in a Ward Against Melee if you want.
Don't use Ether Renewal. If you're playing in RA, then Prodigy or Elemental Attunement will do.
If you do use Prodigy, I recommend putting in Heal Party, too. :P
You don't want to stretch too far into their backline for Crystal Wave. Aura of Restoration is quite a bad health-restore skill; if you're getting thumped by a Ranger or a Warrior, you should be kiting, not casting continuously.
Attunement is not very good when you have more than one element. With one, it's still easily Shatter bait, but in RA...there aren't many enchantment removal spells tossed around.
I suggest either Flashbot skills with Windborne Speed, or some snares from Water. So (I don't have Factions, so I'm more used to Prophecy skills, excuse me):

Ether Prodigy {E} (Just my preference.)
Ward Against Melee / Windborne Speed
Blinding Flash / Deep Freeze

I don't know about HoH.
In GvG, there aren't many Earth Elementalists remaining...
